Designed in consultation with Ipswich's sister city, Nerima, Japan, the gardens feature winding paths, ornamental lakes, and a traditional tea house overlooking a stream. Local and native plants, including rare species, enhance the tranquil atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls, participate in traditional tea ceremonies, and appreciate the harmonious blend of Japanese design and Ipswich's natural beauty. The gardens are open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm, and on weekends and public holidays from 9:00 am to 5:45 pm.
