
Nelshaby Reserve, located approximately 13.5 km northeast of Port Pirie at the intersection of Reservoir Road and Scenic Drive North, spans about 26 hectares. Established in 1993, it was originally constructed in 1879 to supply water to Port Pirie. The reserve offers a 2.3 km circular walking trail, suitable for birdwatching, running, and walking, with expansive views over the Southern Flinders and Spencer Gulf. The area is home to diverse wildlife, including species like the Eurasian Coot, Australasian Grebe, and Singing Honeyeater.
