The NAWMA Resource Recovery Centre in Pooraka offers residents of the City of Salisbury, City of Playford, and Town of Gawler a convenient location to recycle and dispose of various items. Open daily from 8 am to 4 pm, the centre accepts trucks up to 3 tonnes tare. Services include recycling of electronic waste, car batteries, waste oil, and general waste, which is processed into fuel for Adelaide Brighton Cement. Additionally, large volumes of garden clippings can be deposited for composting. Please note that the centre is closed on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Anzac Day, and Christmas Day.
