Sydney's premier Northern Beaches fishing club, the Narrabeen Hotel Fishing Club, fosters a positive and sustainable fishing community. Established over 15 years ago, it has grown to approximately 150 members, with 40% under 18, emphasizing family and youth involvement. The club offers competitions in Rock & Beach, Estuary, and Deep Sea fishing across various categories. Monthly weigh-ins are held at 2 pm on the last Sunday at the Narrabeen Sands Hotel. Committed to sustainability, the club adheres to Fisheries Department guidelines on fish sizing and bag limits. It also supports the Westmead Children's Hospital and Bear Cottage through fundraising and volunteer work. Major sponsors include Narrabeen Sands Hotel and Narrabeen Bait and Tackle.
