
Nankin is a rural locality in Queensland's Livingstone Shire, approximately 15 kilometers east of Rockhampton's CBD. The area encompasses 194.6 square kilometers and has a population of 176 residents. Historically, Nankin was served by several now-abandoned railway stations, including Nankin Junction and Leaholme. The Rockhampton-Emu Park Road traverses the locality from southwest to northwest. Notable features include the former Nankin Junction State School, which operated from 1899 until its closure around 1940. Today, Nankin offers a tranquil rural setting with a rich history and scenic landscapes.
