Murray Town, established in 1883, is a tranquil locality in South Australia's Mid North, nestled east of the lower Flinders Ranges. Once a bustling rest stop for bullock and horse teams transporting grain to Port Germein, it was named after Alexander Murray, who introduced the Murray Merino sheep breed. Today, visitors can enjoy a peaceful park featuring picnic areas and shade from majestic River Red Gum trees. The town is also home to Remarkable View Wines, offering cellar door experiences just outside its bounds.
