Murrabit is a charming town in northern Victoria, Australia, situated along the Murray River. Established in 1925 as a railway station on the Kerang-Stony Crossing rail line, it has grown into a vibrant community of approximately 230 residents. The town is renowned for its monthly Murrabit Country Market, held on the first Saturday of each month since 1977, and is reputed to be the biggest in regional Victoria. Murrabit is also a major citrus-producing area, with many orchards and packing sheds, and dairy farming is another significant industry. The town offers recreational facilities, including the Murrabit Golf Club and an Australian rules football club competing in the Golden Rivers Football League.
