
Located at 4 Stevenson Street in Murchison, the Murchison Heritage Centre offers a comprehensive glimpse into the area's rich history. As the oldest European settlement on the lower Goulburn Valley, Murchison's past is showcased through a diverse collection of artifacts and documents. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the Aboriginal Protectorate, agricultural pioneers, river crossing and irrigation developments, wartime internment camps, and the renowned 1969 Murchison Meteorite. The centre is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with group bookings available by appointment.
