Nestled at the base of Mt Terrick Terrick in Victoria's Terrick Terrick National Park, this picnic area offers a serene spot to relax amidst nature. Equipped with picnic tables, toilets, and park information, it serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the park's diverse habitats. A short, steep walk leads to the summit, rewarding visitors with panoramic 360-degree views over woodlands, farms, and grassy plains. The area is rich in birdlife year-round and adorned with wildflowers in spring and early summer. Please note, fires and firewood collection are prohibited; gas stoves and BBQs may be used, provided it is not a day of Total Fire Ban. The gravel access road is suitable for 2WD vehicles in dry conditions but can become boggy after heavy rain. Parking is limited, so please park considerately. All native plants and animals are protected by law; pets are prohibited. The walk to the summit is short but steep; the granite rocks can be slippery after rain. Wear shoes or boots with good grip. The path is not recommended for people with limited mobility, and visitors should take care in wet or windy weather.
