Nestled within the Hepburn Regional Park, Mount Franklin Reserve offers a unique camping experience in an extinct volcanic crater. The campground accommodates tents, camper trailers, campervans, and caravans, featuring a communal shelter, non-flushing toilets, and shared picnic tables. Campfires are permitted in steel fireplaces; visitors are advised to bring their own firewood and portable firepits. A non-potable water tank is available seasonally for handwashing; however, it's recommended to bring your own drinking water and take all rubbish home. The Lalgambuk Summit Loop Walk, a 1.7 km circuit, provides scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
