Moorleigh Community Village, located at 90-92 Bignell Road in Bentleigh East, is a vibrant hub that hosts a variety of community groups and activities. The facility includes a formal sportsground, a recreational space, and a multipurpose facility. The site, formerly Moorleigh High School, was transformed into a community venue after the school's closure in 1992. The sportsground, established in 1995, features facilities for cricket and football, while the multipurpose facility, opened in 2019, offers cricket nets in summer and a versatile space for various activities in winter. The venue also houses a community garden, providing residents with opportunities to engage in gardening and social activities. Additionally, the Bentmoor Men's Shed operates on-site, offering a space for men to share skills and work on projects. The main sportsground and building areas are designated on-leash areas for dogs, while the area behind the sports pavilion, adjacent to the golf course and tennis courts, is an off-leash area. Dogs must be on-leash within 20 meters of barbecues, picnic areas, playgrounds, and sports facilities. The venue is open daily from 8 am to 10 pm.
