Mooney Mooney is a tranquil waterfront village on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, approximately 50 kilometers north of Sydney. Nestled at the end of a peninsula extending into the Hawkesbury River, it features a rocky foreshore and hilly terrain. The area includes two islands: Peat Island and Spectacle Island, the latter being a protected nature reserve. The 1.93-hectare Deerubbun Reserve offers public access to the river with facilities like a wharf, boat ramps, and picnic areas. Mooney Mooney is accessible via the Pacific Motorway and Pacific Highway, connecting it to the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area.
