Nestled in Tumut, the Montreal Community Theatre has been a cultural cornerstone for over 90 years. This heritage-listed venue, built in 1929, showcases a striking lattice work ceiling made of caneite and timber, the only known example of its kind in New South Wales. The theatre hosts weekly movies, live performances, and is available for community events. The Montreal Theatre Shop offers food and beverages during performances, enhancing the audience experience. Managed by a dedicated committee and volunteers, the theatre also provides historical tours by appointment.
