Nestled along Second Creek in Stonyfell, Michael Perry Botanic Reserve offers a serene escape with its picturesque walking trails and diverse native flora. Established in the 1970s from the historic Clifton Estate, the 3.2-hectare reserve features a restored historic garden, indigenous woodlands, and a revitalized creek line. Visitors can enjoy accessible paths, picnic areas, and observe a variety of native wildlife, including birds and aquatic species. The reserve is named in honor of Michael Perry, a dedicated public servant who served as Councillor, Alderman, and Mayor of Burnside from 1958 to 1983.
