
Housed in a historic sandstone cottage built between 1847 and 1856, the Merriwa Colonial Museum & Historical Society showcases a rich collection of local artifacts, including household items, clothing, photographs, tools, and machinery. The museum also features a church organ from Turill and an Edison phonograph with rolls. Established in 1967, it serves as a hub for family research and local history. Visitors can explore the museum on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Admission is by donation.
