Meroogal, a heritage-listed house museum in Nowra, offers a glimpse into the lives of four generations of women who cherished this 1886 timber cottage. Designed by Kenneth Mackenzie, the house showcases Gothic Revival architecture with verandahs and balconies. Visitors can explore a collection of nearly 4,000 objects, including furniture, personal diaries, and household items, reflecting almost a century of social and technological change. The biennial Meroogal Women's Art Prize, now in its 20th year, features artworks responding to the house's history and its former occupants. Open on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm, entry is by guided tour only.
