Mentone Racecourse Reserve

Mentone Racecourse Reserve, located at 40-50 Glenelg Drive, Mentone VIC 3194, is a historic park that honors its past as a former horse racing course operating from 1888 to 1948. The playground features horse-themed decorations, including images of racehorses, horse statues, and ride-on springers. Additional amenities include a wooden maze, flying fox, slides, swings, and a sandpit. The park's centerpiece is an ornamental lake with water fountains, home to numerous ducks and water birds, surrounded by walking trails and bridges. For active visitors, facilities include a half-court basketball area, AFL and soccer posts, and a tennis rebound wall. Sheltered areas with barbecues and picnic tables are available for gatherings, along with public toilets, drinking fountains, and ample parking.
