Matthews Hospitality Group, a family-run enterprise with over 80 years in the industry, operates nine venues across South Australia, including the historic Maylands Hotel in Maylands. The Maylands Hotel, built in 1883, has been revitalized with a vibrant new look that blends modern, vintage, and art deco aesthetics. The renovation, completed in 2021, transformed the hotel into an intimate lounge-like space, featuring a refurbished lounge dining room with views of the adjacent park and playground. The art-deco style bar boasts fluted panelling, a white and blue colour scheme, orb pendant lights, and a retro bulkhead ceiling. The hotel's kitchen is led by chef Cristian Carbone, offering a diverse and high-quality food menu. The front-of-house team is overseen by venue manager Ali Davis, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
