Matong

Matong is a picturesque property located in Numbla Vale, New South Wales, offering approximately 448.87 hectares (1,109.18 acres) of gently undulating terrain. The land features granite-derived soils and alluvial soils along Numbla Creek, providing a fertile environment for grazing. The property is divided into six paddocks, a laneway, and three holding paddocks, facilitating efficient stock management. Lightly timbered with Manna Gum, Apple Gum, and Candlebark, it supports predominantly native grasses, with about 300 acres sown to Rye Grass in 2020/21. Ninety percent of the land is arable, watered by Numbla Creek, eight dams, and a spring. Infrastructure includes an abandoned timber house, a sheep shelter shed, and old shearers' quarters.
