MATE Stadium

MATE Stadium, formerly known as the State Hockey Centre, is a premier outdoor field hockey venue located in Gepps Cross, South Australia. It features two international-standard water-based pitches, providing top-tier facilities for both competition and training. The stadium serves as the home ground for the Southern Hotshots and SA Suns in the Australian Hockey League. Managed by Hockey SA, it hosts state championships, team training sessions, and major events like grand finals in the Hockey Metropolitan Competition. Additionally, the venue accommodates club hockey matches and is the training base for the South Australian Sports Institute's hockey program. Clubs such as Burnside, Forestville, and Grange Royals utilize the facilities for their games and practices. The stadium's capacity includes 330 fixed seats and can accommodate up to 4,000 spectators for major events.
