The name "Ivalda" is derived from the first two letters of the Ivanhoe, Alphington, and Darebin Lodges. The interior boasts a black and white linoleum tiled floor and a canopy crafted from Tasmanian Blackwood. The temple has been continuously occupied by the Masonic community since its completion and is listed by the Heritage Council of Victoria.
