Operating 24/7, VMR401 offers a vessel monitoring service every weekend and public holiday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The base is strategically situated adjacent to Brisbane Airport and the Port of Brisbane, facilitating efficient response times. VMR401 collaborates closely with other emergency services, including the Queensland Water Police, Queensland Ambulance Service, and the State Emergency Service (SES), ensuring a coordinated approach to maritime safety.
