Maitland Masonic Centre Function Hall

The Maitland Masonic Centre, located at 5 Victoria Street, Maitland, NSW 2320, is a heritage-listed building designed by architect J.W. Pender and constructed between 1886 and 1927. This ornately decorated hall showcases Late Victorian architecture with stylistic elements of "Arabesque" or "Moorish" influence, featuring a rendered painted facade with decorative mouldings, archways, mock domes, and Masonic emblems. The interior adheres to the double cube principle of Freemasonry design, with a central linoleum floor panel depicting Masonic imagery, a coved roof, and a central lantern. The hall continues to serve as a venue for various events, including concerts and community gatherings.
