Macleay St Bistro, a cherished Sydney institution since 1982, has relocated to a spacious 123-square-metre venue at 71A Macleay Street, Potts Point. The new space, inspired by 1950s European wine bars, features red leather seating, copper trims, pale green walls adorned with moody art, and lavish arched mirrors. Chef Callum Brewin continues to serve classic French dishes like steak tartare, twice-baked French onion cheese soufflé, and steak frites. The wine list includes premium selections such as the 2017 Château D'Issan and the 2015 Pierre Gimonnet Cramant Grand Cru. Open Thursday–Tuesday for lunch and daily for dinner, the bistro offers BYO wine with a $14 corkage fee, except on Sundays when it's free.
