Nestled in the serene Samford Valley, Lyell Deer Sanctuary is a family-run haven dedicated to rescuing and caring for deer and other animals. Visitors can interact closely with red, rusa, and fallow deer, as well as goats, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, and peacocks. The sanctuary offers a peaceful setting where guests can cuddle, sit with, and hand-feed the animals. Open on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm, admission fees support the ongoing care of the animals. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic and enjoy the undercover seating area or outdoor picnic tables. Complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities are available, and cold drinks and ice blocks are sold on-site. Please note that some areas are wheelchair accessible, but the paddocks may not be suitable for wheelchairs or unsteady walkers due to uneven terrain.
