
Lower Broughton is a rural locality in South Australia's Far North region, situated approximately 186 kilometers north of Adelaide and 17 kilometers south of Port Pirie. Established in 1995, it derives its name from its proximity to the Broughton River. The area encompasses about 128 square kilometers, with land primarily dedicated to agriculture, including cropping and grazing, and a coastal strip zoned for conservation. As of the 2016 census, Lower Broughton had a population of 34 residents.
