Nestled in the Tallaganda State Forest, Lowden Forest Park offers a serene retreat with historical charm. Visitors can explore remnants of a 19th-century logging camp, including an original waterwheel once used for electricity generation. The park features picnic areas, covered tables, and pit toilets, accommodating tents, camper trailers, and caravans. Surrounded by majestic brown barrel trees, it's ideal for bushwalking, four-wheel-drive tours, and mountain biking. Birdwatchers may spot the rare olive whistler. Access is via Lowden Road, off Captains Flat Road, approximately 17 km southwest of Braidwood.
