Loira Vines is a boutique vineyard nestled in Tasmania's Western Tamar Valley, approximately 31 kilometers northwest of Launceston. Managed by a dedicated husband-and-wife team, the vineyard spans five and a half acres, cultivating over 20-year-old grapevines and apple trees. Varieties include Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Red Frontignac, and Fragola grapes, alongside Golden Delicious and Pink Lady apples. The vineyard also grows four hop varieties for their craft pale ale. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, gin paddles, and local produce platters featuring artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and fresh produce from the Launceston area. The cellar door operates on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm, with platters available from 11 am to 2:30 pm. Bookings are essential for platters.
