Located in the heart of Doreen, the Laurimar Community Activity Centre offers versatile spaces for various events. The Community Room accommodates up to 30 seated or 45 standing guests and features floorboards, a mirrored wall, BBQ facilities, tables and chairs, air conditioning, heating, and a television with HDMI connection. The Maternal and Child Health Program Room, available after 5 pm Monday to Friday, seats 15 or stands 20, and includes a kitchenette, air conditioning, and heating. Shared amenities include a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, sink, dishwasher, and small oven; male and female accessible toilets with baby change facilities; and 30 on-site parking spaces with accessible parking available. The centre hosts services such as Maternal and Child Health, 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten enrolments, and the Laurimar Kindergarten program. It's suitable for parties, meetings, and group fitness or dance activities. Operating hours are Sunday 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM; Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM – 10:00 PM; Friday and Saturday 7:30 AM – 1:00 AM. Bookings can be made through the City of Whittlesea's website.
