Established in 1875, the Latrobe Federal Band is Australia's oldest continuous brass band. While the L J Coventry Bandrooms undergo redevelopment, rehearsals are held at the Moriarty Hall. Under the guidance of Musical Directors Geoff Dell and Dominique Baker, the band offers tuition, instruments, and uniforms at minimal cost. Rehearsals are scheduled on Mondays during school terms: - Beginners: 6:15 pm – 7:00 pm - Juniors: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm - Seniors: 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm Post-rehearsal, members are invited to socialize, fostering a strong community bond. The band welcomes all interested individuals to join and be part of this rich musical tradition.
