Largs Bay Foreshore Playground

The Largs Bay Foreshore Playground, located along Lady Gowrie Drive in Largs Bay, South Australia, is a vibrant, ice cream-themed play area that opened in June 2024. Designed with inclusivity in mind, it features a climbable soft serve ice cream cup with a slide, an inclusive mound slide, accessible trampolines, a climbing tower with a large tunnel slide, two swing sets, cherry sculptures, alternative communication boards, informative and sensory ice cream sculptures, an ice cream scoop with monkey bars, a banana split-themed inclusive see-saw, an accessible carousel, a rubber soft fall ditch with a domed climbing net, and a picnic setting. Adjacent to the playground, visitors can enjoy a kiosk, walking and bike paths, BBQ and picnic facilities, a jetty, beach shower, fishing spots, a boat ramp, and a sailing club. The area also offers free parking, nearby cafes and restaurants, and is accessible via public transport, with the Largs train station just a short walk away.
