The Laratinga Community Shed, established in July 2023 by the Mount Barker Community Centre, offers a welcoming space for individuals to engage in various projects and social activities. Originally known as The Mount Barker Men’s Shed, it began in 2014 with support from the Mount Barker District Council and Mount Barker Rotary Club. Members can work on personal projects, assist with community initiatives, or simply enjoy a chat over coffee. Operating Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm, the shed hosts: - Monday: Women's Shed - Tuesday: Community Shed (all welcome) - Wednesday: Community Shed (all welcome) - Thursday: Men's Shed Located at 100 Springs Road, Mount Barker, the shed provides a supportive environment for skill-sharing and community building.
