Nestled at the base of Mount Canobolas, Lake Canobolas Reserve offers a serene environment for both relaxation and recreation. Visitors can enjoy activities such as cycling, sailing, canoeing, walking, swimming, triathlons, and dragon boating. The Apex Adventure Playground on the eastern bank provides entertainment for children, while the Lakeside Kiosk and Café serve refreshments. The reserve features numerous picnic areas, barbecues, and fishing spots. A walking track encircles the lake, serving as a haven for native birds and wildlife. The historic Old Pumphouse, restored after over 60 years of disuse, adds historical charm to the area. Dogs are permitted within the park but must be on a lead. Lake Canobolas is open daily from early morning until sunset.
