La Perouse Youth Haven, also known as the La Pa Bummers, offers a culturally appropriate service to young people aged 8-25 years in the La Perouse Aboriginal community. Established in 2004, it is the only Aboriginal organisation delivering a specific youth service that provides a safe space for young people in La Perouse and surrounding areas. The centre is committed to providing cultural, educational, and recreational activities to build self-esteem, divert from anti-social behaviour, and improve skills to realise full potential, enabling them to become vital, responsible, and contributing members of the community. Located at Yarra Bay House, La Perouse, the centre can be contacted at youth@laperouse.org.au.
