La Perouse Youth Haven, also known as the La Pa Bummers, offers a culturally appropriate service to young people aged 8-25 years in the La Perouse Aboriginal community. Established in 2004, it is the only Aboriginal organisation delivering a specific youth service that provides a safe space for young people in La Perouse and surrounding areas. The centre is committed to providing cultural, educational, and recreational activities to build self-esteem, divert from anti-social behaviour, and improve skills to realise full potential, enabling them to become vital, responsible, and contributing members of the community.
