Established in 1984, the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council (LPLALC) serves the La Perouse Aboriginal community with culturally appropriate, professional, and effective services. Their mission is to work for, with, and on behalf of the community, using self-determination to achieve autonomy. The LPLALC offers a range of services, including cultural and heritage advice, Aboriginal heritage protection, and Welcome to Country ceremonies. They also manage the Gamay Rangers, who care for the cultural and environmental resources of Botany Bay. Their vision is a confident, prosperous, autonomous, and united community.
