Established in 1858, Kyneton Botanic Gardens features a remarkable collection of mature specimen trees, including 17 recognized by the National Trust of Australia. Visitors can enjoy heritage features such as bluestone garden walls, a striking wrought iron main gate, a historic 1902 drinking fountain, a beautifully restored gardener’s cottage, and a scenic riverside walk along the Campaspe River. The gardens also include a charming rotunda and a whimsical fairy ring of trees. The site is also home to the Kyneton Community Park, offering an inclusive, nature-based play and water park experience designed for all ages and abilities. Dogs are welcome, provided they are on a lead.
