The Koondrook Red Gum Forest Walk offers two scenic loop trails through the Gunbower State Forest, each rich in historical, cultural, and ecological significance. The Turtle Loop spans approximately 13 km, while the Eagle Loop covers about 9 km, both starting from Koondrook. Along the paths, interpretive signage highlights the area's diverse heritage, including Indigenous and European sites. The trails meander through majestic red gum forests and wetlands, providing a tranquil setting for nature enthusiasts. Dogs are welcome on the trails, and no booking or fees are required. Please note that access may be limited during wet weather or floods.
