Kenangan, located at 507 Elizabeth Street in Melbourne, offers an authentic Indonesian dining experience that transports guests straight to the heart of Indonesia. Established as a family passion project during the COVID-19 pandemic, it began by delivering vacuum-packed Indonesian meals to homes, allowing patrons to savor traditional flavors without leaving Australia. As demand grew, Kenangan expanded into a physical venue, bringing the essence of Indonesian cuisine to Melbourne's vibrant dining scene. The menu features a diverse array of dishes, including Bebek Bakar Kecap (grilled duck with sweet and savory sauce), Ayam Bakar Jimbaran (grilled chicken with sweet and tangy sauce), and Iga Bakar Kecap (grilled beef ribs with sweet and savory sauce). The warm and welcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of a traditional Indonesian eatery, makes it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and special dinners. Kenangan is open Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 2:30 pm and 4 pm to 8:45 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 3:30 pm.
