Kempt Field, located at 73 Durham Street in Hurstville, is a 3.17-hectare public reserve currently undergoing remediation to address subsidence and contamination issues. The $11.8 million project, initiated in late 2024, involves re-capping buried waste across 30,000 square meters of the site. The reserve is expected to be closed to the public for approximately 15 months, with capping scheduled for completion by the end of October 2025. During this period, alternative recreational spaces in the Allawah area are available for community use.
