The area is renowned for its excellent surf breaks, making it a haven for experienced surfers. Additionally, the campground serves as a gateway to nearby attractions such as Melba Gully, the Twelve Apostles, Cape Otway Lightstation, and Triplet Falls, all within an hour's drive. For those interested in hiking, a section of the Great Ocean Walk is accessible from the campground, offering stunning coastal views. Please note, Johanna Beach is an important nesting area for the threatened Hooded Plover; to protect this species, visitors are advised to walk below the high tide mark.
