Venue

Joadja, NSW

Nestled in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Joadja Distillery operates within a historic 1870s kerosene shale mining village. Established in 2014 by the Jimenez family, the distillery honors the area's Scottish heritage and the tradition of "sly grog." It stands out as one of the few single malt distilleries globally that cultivates its own barley and utilizes pristine on-site spring water. Visitors can enjoy free distillery tours and tastings every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, with no booking required for groups under ten. For those interested in the rich history of the area, guided tours of the Joadja Historic Site are available through the Joadja Town website.
