Jan Juc is a coastal suburb in Victoria, Australia, located immediately west of Torquay. The area is renowned for its beautiful beach, which lies between Rocky Point to the east and Bird Rock to the west, and is bounded by high cliffs, except where an ephemeral creek enters Bass Strait through sand dunes. The beach is patrolled during summer months by the Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club. The suburb has experienced significant development over the past two decades, with new housing estates almost linking Jan Juc to Torquay across the Spring Creek. As of the 2016 census, Jan Juc had a population of 3,686 residents. The area offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle, attracting both permanent residents and holidaymakers.
