Housed in a former primary school building constructed in 1876, the Jamestown Local History Centre showcases a vast collection of local history dating back to 1878. Visitors can explore local newspapers, family histories, cemetery records, photographs, and scrapbooks. A highlight is the Barbara Parri collection, a comprehensive record of Jamestown's history, including individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and events. Special displays feature school memorabilia and paintings of former one-teacher schools throughout the district. The centre is open on the last Sunday of each month, except December, from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
