Jackson Creek

Emu Bottom Wetlands, spanning 32 hectares along Jacksons Creek in Sunbury, offers a serene natural retreat. The area features expansive grassy fields, clumps of bushes, and trees, ideal for leisurely walks and picnics. It's a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with platypus viewing platforms overlooking deep pools, providing opportunities to observe these elusive creatures in their natural habitat. The wetlands also support a variety of native water birds and other wildlife. Visitors can enjoy walking, horse riding (BYO horse), and exploring the restored indigenous vegetation. The reserve is managed by the Friends of Emu Bottom Wetlands Reserve, a community group dedicated to its conservation.
