Opened in 1978 and named in honor of the second principal of Kangaroo Flat Secondary College, the J B Osborne Theatre is a 382-seat venue located at 77 Olympic Parade, Kangaroo Flat VIC 3555. The theatre features a 9.5-meter deep by 10-meter wide stage, a multi-channel sound system with various microphones, a stage lighting system, and a large control room for monitoring sound and lighting. Additional amenities include two dressing rooms with showers and toilets, an acoustically designed auditorium, easy side access for stage props and equipment, public toilets with wheelchair access, heating and evaporative air conditioning, storage space, a kiosk for selling drinks and food items, a box office for selling tickets, and ample street parking for patrons. The theatre is available for hire on weekends and most weekdays.
