The complex comprises the Isaac Plains and Isaac Plains East mines, which have been in operation since 2006. Mining methods include open-cut and dragline techniques, with coal processed at the on-site coal handling and preparation plant. The complex is strategically situated approximately 7 kilometers east of Moranbah, facilitating efficient transportation of coal to the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal for export. Stanmore Resources is committed to environmental stewardship, implementing progressive rehabilitation strategies to restore mined areas to grazing pasture. In 2022, the company rehabilitated over 250 hectares of disturbed land, surpassing its ambitious targets.
