Ironstone Gully Falls, located 17 kilometers southeast of Capel along Goodwood Road, is a historic picnic area reserved in 1903 for the Capel River settlers. The falls cascade over a nine-meter ledge, creating a picturesque setting. From August to October, the surrounding countryside bursts into a stunning display of Western Australian wildflowers. An existing narrow vehicle track winds throughout the reserve, providing an ideal walking and cycling circuit. Bird guides list this site for its potential for sighting raptors, Red-Tailed and Long-Billed Black Cockatoos, and Scarlet Robins. BBQ and toilet facilities are available at this site.
