The International Rose Garden at Adelaide Botanic Garden is a sensory delight, featuring over 2,700 roses across more than 350 cultivars. Its design includes a sunken garden, circular garden, and pergolas, complementing the adjacent Bicentennial Conservatory. The garden showcases Australian-bred roses, heritage varieties, and pillar roses, with mixed companion plantings adding seasonal color. A tunnel of climbing rose arches leads to roses selected for specific Australian causes, such as the Leukaemia Foundation. Home to the National Rose Trial Garden, it tests roses not yet commercially available in Australia. Recognized with a Garden of Global Excellence award in November 2022, the garden is at its best in October-November and April, with blooms throughout summer.
