Huon Valley Mid Winter Festival

The Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival, held annually in Ranelagh, Tasmania, celebrates the region's rich apple heritage with a vibrant mix of traditional and contemporary festivities. Central to the event is the ancient 'Wassail' ceremony, where participants don masks, hoist flaming torches, and beat drums and pots in procession to promote a good harvest.
