Located at 2747 Tin Can Bay Road in Gympie, Queensland, the Toolara Office serves as a hub for HQPlantations' extensive operations. This office is integral to managing the Tuan-Toolara pine plantation, one of Australia's largest contiguous plantation estates, covering 85,000 hectares on Queensland's Fraser Coast. The plantation produces a diverse range of products, including house framing timbers, landscaping timbers, engineered beams, power poles, medium-density fibreboard panels, wood pellets for renewable power, and bark and potting mix for the landscape and nursery industries. Each year, approximately 2,500 hectares are harvested and replanted with over 2.4 million locally grown pine seedlings. Adjacent native forest buffers, comprising nearly 40% of the land managed by HQPlantations, provide valuable habitats for native plants and animals and help protect water quality and stream flows. The Toolara Office is open to the public Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4 pm, welcoming visitors to meet the team and learn more about sustainable forest management practices.
